It will look and feel similar to a sunburn (pink – red tinge). Swelling and tiny pin hole bleeding may occur and last up to 48 hours. Peeling may occur after a few days, don’t pick or scratch the treated skin, rather keep it moisturised. Don’t use makeup for at least 24 hours after treatment. Be very gentle when washing your face too. Use your hands and a gentle cleanser and do avoid the sun for a few days.

Your skin will appear noticeably smoother and brighter within a week or two. Each person’s skin is different and may require different amount of sessions, therefore results could take a few months to appear.

Unlike other home devices this professional technology offers adjustable needling depths which means the treatment can be tailored to your skin thickness and also treat hard to reach areas in a single treatment. It can also target deeper scars individually.

They range from 0.2mm to 3mm. Numbing cream is not required for anything up to 1.5mm but you may find it more comfortable to use. Please note you should only apply numbing cream to one area at a time (i.e. either the face or neck not both)

If you only have a minor skin condition like very fine lines and wrinkles or minor scars you can use the micro-needling pen every 2-4 weeks. For major skin conditions, it is advised to use the micro-needling pen every 4-6 weeks.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, we recommend you consult a doctor. If you are breastfeeding usually one can use of the microneedling pen without numbing cream. Precautions should still be taken.

• Test the numbing cream and serum on two small and different areas of the skin to ensure no allergic reaction. (should irritation occur discontinue use)
• Remove any and all make up
• Wash the face or targeted area thoroughly
• Cleanse face or targeted area
• Once patch test is done and no allergic reaction has been noted, apply a thin layer of numbing cream to the face or effected area for 30 – 45 minutes (wash hands thoroughly)
• Then with dry cotton wool remove the excess numbing cream and follow up with a damp cotton wool
• Apply the gliding oil
• Refer to the manual for needle depth
• Insert new cartridge, adjust needle depth, look into a mirror and without excess pressure start to move the microneedling pen over the face / area of skin you are wanting to target (one can go approximately 3 times over the same area)
• Once the area has been completed apply ULTIMATE FIX serum and then a moisturiser (if you are going to sleep) and/or a moisturiser with SPF (if it is the day)

 Microneedling is safe for all skin tones as your epidermas (first layer of skin that is responsilble for new skin cellls) is not significantly damaged through this process.

“Numbing Cream” is a topical anaesthetic cream and is applied to the treatment area for 30-45 minutes prior to treatment.

Note:

• Not suitable for pregnant or breastfeeding woman.
• Only one area (ie face and neck) can be treated in a single session to avoid over exposure to anaesthetic.

Microneedling is not suitable for persons who have used Accutane (isotretinoin) within the last six months, have open wounds, cuts or abrasions, have had radiation skin treatment within the eighteen months, are suffering from any skin infection, condition, or herpes simplex in the area of concern, are pregnant or breast feeding, have any history of keloid or hypertrophic scars or poor wound healing.
